Sip and See Library Baby Shower

For a second or third baby, a mom may already have a lot of the baby goods normally given at baby showers.  I still feel like a celebration is in order and a Sip and See Baby Shower is a great way to do this.    It is traditionally a casual event where friends and family can drop by to "ooh and aah" and enjoy refreshments.  For this pink and white library themed shower, guests will be helping build the baby's library.  Included in the library card invitation was a bookplate label that the guest can sign and place inside their gift.  What a wonderful memory for mom and baby, and  no one even has to take notes on gifts!

We did a library theme for my best friend's baby shower. I bought this invitation set from Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/47581742/library-invitation-package.

We asked everyone to bring a childrens book and used the bookplates to leave a special message for baby.

Everyone in attendance raved about the invitations and bookplates and I LOVED seeing all those books lined up in my friends nursery!
