Swanky Spotlight: EJP Events

I've decided to shake things up a bit here at Swanky Tables and I'm saying goodbye to the Friday Happy Hour and Hello Swanky Spotlight. Each Friday I'm going to feature a fabulous event vendor from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We will kick off the brand new feature with the fabulous Emee Pumarega of EJP Events located in the Bridal Loft in Portland, Oregon. I was lucky enough to be placed near EJP Events at the Art of Weddings. All I can say is WOW, she has planned and coordinated some amazing weddings and events. Above are some of my favorite pictures from events she has coordinated. How amazing are the hand-blown sugar pearls? The beautiful green table's were customized with the initials of the bride and groom and the centerpieces for the children's table's were replaced with candy and cupcakes. I Heart the Zoo Crew at Inkspot Workshop

How cute are these Zoo Crew notes from Inkspot Workshop...love that color combo. I would love to do a whole party designed around hippos. I completely dig them. Maybe its because my twins pronounce them "Sippo's" Cracks me up. Ok, I'm getting delirious with my lack of sleep recently. Don't forget to check out the Inkspot Workshop blog, too!

Sugar Rush Sweets Table

What's a party without a little sugar rush at the end of the evening. I had a lot of fun doing a sweets table full of bright colored candy. Especially when I was able to use some of my favorite candies: Runts, Sours, and Apple Gumballs. I was never a huge sours person until I tasted a sour from Ohnuts.com. Amazing!! I think I may have gained 10 lbs since I started doing more candy and dessert tables. It's my job to taste test, right??

The favor I'd choose is a no brainer - I have been eyeing the turquoise mini gum ball machines forever (i've blogged about then before on my blog) I think they are so darn adorable I can hardly stand it. I'd love to plan a party table around them.

Orla Kiely at Target

Loving the new Orla Kiely line at Target. What a great collaboration. I picked up the large and medium canisters. They are nice and heavy and I think I'll use them for storage in my office instead of the kitchen. I'm thinking these items won't last for long so run on out to your local Target.

Love this favor idea from Martha Stewart Weddings. It can be easily customized to your color scheme and how cute is the ribbon loop on top?

Directions:

Origami paper in shades of orange and an understated tag create a stylish favor.

Glue-stick the 2-inch-square pieces of origami paper to sides of box to cover. Punch 1/2-inch hole in center of box top and in tag. Loop a 10-by-5/8-inch ribbon in half; tie ends; push loop up through holes in lid and tag

I Heart Steve....

I absolutely love the modern and chic Steve Glasses from Crate and Barrel. When you can find an item that's low cost, versatile and looks good, its a must buy in my book. I have used the glasses for everyday, cocktails, candy containers in a buffet, as vases, and turned them over for a candle display down the center of a table. At $1.95 each, how can you go wrong?
