I'm more of a Mimosa gal than a Bloody Mary gal, so I thought this twist on the classic Mimosa would make a lovely Easter brunch cocktail. How about you, Bloody Mary or Mimosa?
Blushing Mimosa
Prep: 5 min. The classic mimosa is equal parts orange juice and Champagne. In this recipe, pineapple juice and grenadine add a twist of flavor and color.
Yield: Makes 6 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups orange juice (not from concentrate)
- 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
- 2 tablespoons grenadine
- 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled*
Preparation
1. Stir together first 3 ingredients.
2. Pour equal parts orange juice mixture and Champagne into Champagne flutes.
*2 (12-oz.) cans ginger ale or lemon-lime soda may be substituted.

I love mimosas! I don't like bloody marys though one bit!
Yum! I hear mimosas! Plus, it's a way to have a drink in the morning without any eyebrows lifting lol

I am also a Mimosa girl! I wish I could have one now! Thanks for the great recipe I will have to give this a try.
I like both. Mimosas in the spring, bloody marys in the fall.
I love the idea of adding pineapple juice!
PS: I am featuring the vintage circus birthday post from earlier this week in my Friday Faves- posts later this afternoon! :)
Love this recipe, and I agree, mimosas are much better than bloody mary's :)
I am definitely a mimosas gal! Sometimes, I like to think I invented it. ;)
I started a blog that I think you might like. It combines fashion and giving back to charities. Each week, I will give away 1 designer dress (this week it’s the Pink Adelson Shift from Lilly Pulitzer Spring 2010) to one lucky follower, who raises awareness of the blog's selected charity through various ways such as tweeting about it or commenting with an interesting fact. I am currently also giving away some great Lilly stationary items too. Please check out my blog at www.shop4charity.blogspot.com because doing good is chic!
