Happy Hour: Butter Martini

I could definitely use a refreshing cocktail at the moment, and this one from Butter NC, would definitely fit the bill. Cheers!

Butter NC Signature Martini

INGREDIENTS
• 1½ oz. Ketel One Citroen
• 1 oz. Pama pomegranate juice
• ½ oz. Cointreau liqueur
• Splash of pineapple juice
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients with ice in a shaker, shake, strain into a martini glass and serve.

Happy 4th of July!

Here's a little cocktail to toast from Food Network the holiday!

Ingredients

• 1 ounce watermelon schnapps
• 1 big splash cranberry juice
• 1 very thin slice jalapeno or serrano pepper
• 1 slice lemon
• 1 slice lime
• 1 1/2 ounces tequila
• 1/4 ounce blue curacao
• 1/2 ounce simple syrup
• Watermelon wedge, for garnish (optional)
  

DIRECTIONS
Mix the schnapps and cranberry juice in a shaker; pour into an ice-filled glass.

Muddle the jalapeno pepper, lemon and lime slices, tequila, blue curacao and simple syrup (to make a batch, dissolve sugar in equal parts hot water and chill) in the shaker. Slowly strain into the glass over the red layer. Garnish with watermelon, if desired.

Real Soirées: Lingerie Luncheon

I have so many lovely things to say about Caroline of Oh Pickles Blog, I don't know where to start! First of all, she threw this incredible Lingerie Luncheon for her friend Jessie who is getting married at the end of July. I love the set up of the buffet table, the gorgeous damask tablecloth, the letter picks centerpiece, and the presentation of all the yummy food. How about the fun "lingerie line" for all her fabulous gifts! Great idea.

Yes, that is Caroline with the bride to be, 8 months pregnant, throwing fabulous showers, running an Etsy Shop, and she has 2 toddlers at home too! She also happens to be the sweetest person ever!! For more details on the shower, check out Caroline's blog.

I had to include a pic of her dishwasher safe labels, they are just super cute and so practical too. Lots of designs and fonts to choose from.
I don't know how many times I've replaced the labels on my boys water bottles for school.
